If camera is truly your top priority, the Pixel 8 still holds a slight edge, particularly in tricky lighting conditions and with its processing of skin tones. Samsung has improved, but Google's computational photography is generally more consistent. However, consider the S24 if you prefer more saturated, vibrant images straight out of the camera; the Pixel aims for realism, which some find less appealing. Also, look at video recording; Samsung often pulls ahead there with more resolution options and manual controls.
