Which is better Cerave or Cetaphil?

I have incredibly sensitive skin and rosacea. Moisturizers either make me break out, or they sting like crazy. I need something gentle enough to use daily, morning and night, but still effectively hydrates. I'm debating between CeraVe and Cetaphil, but I'm overwhelmed by all the different product lines. Which one is more likely to work, given my skin issues?

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is known for its extremely mild formula with very few ingredients, making it a safe bet for sensitive skin to minimize irritation, but it may not be effective enough for complete makeup removal or acne control. CeraVe cleansers, especially the Hydrating Facial Cleanser and the Foaming Facial Cleanser, contain ceramides, which can help to repair and maintain the skin barrier, and may be better for breakouts. The Foaming version is more effective at removing makeup, but could be slightly more drying. I would recommend starting with the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser to see if that works for your skin, and if not, try the Foaming version or Cetaphil if you need something even milder.

For rosacea and sensitive skin, Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser and Daily Facial Moisturizer are often recommended by dermatologists because they are formulated to be non-irritating and hypoallergenic. CeraVe is also good, but its formulations sometimes include ingredients like niacinamide that can cause flushing or irritation in some people with rosacea. Start with Cetaphil and see how your skin reacts.

Cetaphil is often recommended by dermatologists for very sensitive skin due to its minimal ingredient list. Cerave, on the other hand, contains ceramides, which can be beneficial for restoring the skin barrier. However, some people find Cerave products to be slightly more irritating. Try a small size of each to start.
