Ninja Foodi vs Instant Pot Duo?

I'm mainly cooking for one, sometimes two people. Space is a major constraint in my apartment, and I'm looking for something that can handle pressure cooking, air frying, and maybe even slow cooking. I'm not interested in baking or dehydrating. Which model is more compact and easier to clean for small portions?

The Ninja Foodi is larger and takes up more counter space because of the attached air fryer lid. The Instant Pot Duo is more compact and might be better if space is your primary concern. However, the Foodi combines pressure cooking and air frying in one appliance, which could simplify your cooking process overall. If you air fry often, the Foodi might be worth the extra space. If air frying is occasional, the Instant Pot Duo plus a separate, smaller air fryer could be a more space-efficient solution.

The Ninja Foodi tends to have faster cooking times due to its crisping lid, which can also be used for air frying. This eliminates the need for a separate appliance. Instant Pot Duos are generally more straightforward to use, especially if you're only pressure cooking. For small kitchens, look at the 6-quart models of either brand. Cleaning is similar for both; the inner pots are usually dishwasher safe.

The Ninja Foodi tends to have a larger footprint, even the smaller models. If space is tight, the Instant Pot Duo might be the better bet. Cleaning-wise, both are pretty similar with non-stick inner pots, but the Instant Pot's simpler design can make it slightly easier to wipe down.
