Miami vs Orlando – which is better?

I'm weighing whether to move my family. Schools are a big concern, but so is having stuff to do. We like theme parks, but also beaches and a bit of culture. Cost of living is also a factor, trying to figure out where our money stretches further while still giving us a good quality of life.

Orlando generally wins on affordability, especially when it comes to housing costs. Miami has a stronger international business scene and a more established cultural presence, which could be a draw for certain employees. Consider the specific industry you're in. If it's tourism or theme park related, Orlando is the clear winner. For finance, international trade, or the arts, Miami may have the edge. You should also compare the average salaries for your industry in each city to see how they offset the cost of living differences.

Orlando definitely wins on theme parks, no question. Miami has the edge on beaches and a more vibrant cultural scene, though that comes with a higher price tag, especially for housing. Schools? Do your research carefully in both areas; quality varies a lot by neighborhood.
