Is $90k a good salary in Florida?
I'm considering a job offer in Orlando, and the salary is $90,000 annually. Factoring in the cost of living, including rent for a decent 2-bedroom apartment, utilities, groceries, and transportation (car payment + insurance), will I be able to live comfortably and still save a reasonable amount each month? I don't have any dependents. What does 'comfortably' even look like at that salary in central Florida?

A $90k salary in Orlando gives you a solid foundation. Expect to spend roughly $1800-$2500 per month on rent depending on the neighborhood. Utilities should be another $200-$300. Groceries could easily be $500 a month for one person. Car payments plus insurance could range anywhere from $500-$800. You should have plenty left over for entertainment and savings.

That salary is doable but consider these factors: Orlando and Tampa's rental markets are competitive, and pet-friendly places often command a premium.
