Is $60k enough in Phoenix?

I'm relocating for a job, and the offer is 60k annually. I'm single, no kids, and pretty minimalist. I like going out occasionally but I'm not a big spender. Is it doable to live comfortably, maybe even save a little, in the Phoenix metro area on that salary?

That salary puts you squarely in the range to live reasonably well in Phoenix. Focus on finding an apartment outside the downtown core; areas like Tempe or even some parts of Mesa offer more affordable options. Your biggest expense will be housing. If you can keep rent under $1500, you should be fine. Factor in utilities, transportation (Phoenix is car-dependent), and groceries. A budget is essential to monitor your spending and ensure you're saving.

Sixty thousand in Phoenix as a single person can work, but manage expectations. Rent will likely be your biggest expense. Look at areas slightly outside the downtown core for better deals. Budget carefully for utilities, especially during the summer. Realistically, you might not be living large, but you should be able to cover necessities and have some wiggle room.
