IPhone 15 vs OnePlus 12, which one to buy?
My budget is around $800, and I mostly use my phone for social media, taking photos of my dog, and streaming videos. Battery life is pretty important, but I also want something that will last a few years without feeling outdated. I'm not heavily invested in either ecosystem, so switching isn't a big deal. I do care about camera quality, especially for pet photography, and I want a smooth, responsive experience.

The iPhone 15 shines with its streamlined iOS experience and optimized camera, particularly for social media. Since battery life and durability are important to you, note that the OnePlus 12 generally offers slightly better battery life, and both phones are fairly durable. Given you're not a heavy gamer, the OnePlus 12's extra power is less critical, so it boils down to whether you prefer iOS or Android and how much you value the iPhone's camera processing.

If you're deep in the Apple ecosystem, switching to Android for a slightly better camera and faster charging probably isn't worth it. The convenience of iMessage, AirDrop, and tight integration across your Apple devices is a significant advantage. The iPhone 15's camera is still excellent, and battery life is decent. Sticking with the iPhone 15 will give you a more seamless experience overall.
