Herman Miller Aeron vs Secretlab Titan Evo - which is better?

My back is killing me after long hours WFH. I'm stuck deciding if the Herman Miller Aeron's adjustability and reputation justify the significantly higher price compared to the Secretlab Titan Evo, which seems popular among gamers and streamers. I'm 6'0" and about 200 lbs. Primary use is for work (8+ hours a day) but I also game occasionally. Which will provide better long-term support and comfort, considering my size and usage?

The Aeron's PostureFit SL and overall ergonomic design are superior for all-day support if your budget allows. The Titan Evo, while good, tends to cater to a more 'bucket seat' feel, which isn't ideal for prolonged focused work. Consider that Aeron is size-specific (A, B, C) - make sure you get the right one for your height/weight. Also, check for authorized dealers for better pricing and warranty support.

The Aeron's mesh seat and back provide excellent ventilation, which is crucial if you tend to get warm while sitting. The Titan Evo, while comfortable, can get a bit warm after extended use. The Aeron also has more adjustability, allowing for a more customized fit. However, the Titan Evo's built-in lumbar support is quite effective, and many users find it sufficient. If your budget is a major concern, the Titan Evo is a solid option, but if you prioritize breathability and maximum adjustability, the Aeron is likely the better choice, especially given your height and weight.

The Aeron is going to be the better long-term investment for ergonomics and durability, especially with that kind of usage. The Titan Evo is a decent chair, but it's really geared more towards gaming aesthetics and marketing. The Aeron has decades of research and a proven track record behind it, plus a much better warranty and support if something does go wrong.
